Actually, in this season the night will be quite short as you go way north.

The coolest experience playing tricks with the sun was the Paris - Washington flight in the early days of the Concorde: it left at 8 PM and arrived at 5 PM. Mid-season, you could actually see the sun rise FROM THE WEST.. a unique experience...
