I generally do like the HP crews more, they still remind me of the America West good days here in PHX.

I just finished some personal travel, PHX-DCA-BUF, and AVP-PHL-PHX:
* The PHX-DCA was HP plane/crew, and they were their usual. Nothing really great, nothing bad.
* DCA-BUF was a US crew. Even though I was in F, I could definitely tell a difference in the crew's attitude. When boarding the plane, I noticed on the heritage logo (the sticker next to the door with the 4 different logos, US in the middle) someone had written, "Loser," over the HP logo. When I told the FAs, 2 of them went off the plane to look, and came back laughing.
* AVP-PHL a USX crew. Basically anything only on request (fine for a 27 min flight)
* PHL-PHX a US crew. This was by far the best US crew I had yet seen. There were 2 male FAs in Y, and they really made the experience tolerable (as tolerable as I could be in a middle seat in Y for a 4+ hr flight).

So there are at least a few US-based employees out there that are still doing a great job.
