DD will not do it because it is not "allowed", but you can do it online. When you check in just tell the front desk about your multiple reservations and they will allow you to stay in the same room (as long as you did not book a suite first night then a double for the rest!). If the website allows you to do it then what can they say!

I do it all the time and even book a reward stay followed by a paid stay.
