I often book consecutive reservations with many hotel chains and never had a problem in booking that way. Sometimes it comes out lower rates but often I want the freedom to leave without early departure penalties. Keeping the same room is never guaranteed as room bed availability (ie king, 2Q, 2D etc) keeps changing. Upon arrival at the hotel I inform the FD I will be staying night and could they block the same room for me. It usually works about 70%. If not call the FD after your first night and re-ask etc. All in all it usually works over 90%.
