Consecutive Reservations - Not Allowed?
My corporate travel agent booked me at a Marriott because it was cheaper than the Hilton. Prices have changed over the past week, and now the Hilton is competitive. The whole reservation at Hilton would be $269/night, but if I book the nights individually, it averages down to $224/night. I called the hotel to see if they could book it for me, so I didn't have to change rooms. The reservations agent at the hotel couldn't figure out why the prices were different, so she "transferred me to the diamond desk." The lady at the diamond desk (if that's where I actually was transferred) told me that "consecutive reservations aren't allowed."
I couldn't find anything when booking online that prohibited making multiple reservations, so I don't think there's any truth to it. But, has anyone here been told, seen written, or had issues with making multiple reservations? Heck, I don't mind packing up each night, considering the savings.
