I keep running into this one guy who gives me a running tally of exactly what is being served in the lounge at any given time. He's really funny - and he apparently thinks the fried scallops are the best thing since sliced bread. I really like the chevrie, but, hey, I don't eat pork so I haven't tried the "other" option each night
The 'free'
drinks served at the 'Manager's Drinks' at 5PM daily are barely drinkable - I found one in five mai tais were okay and the rest basically water.
Great to know that the $13/day resort fee is not going into decent drinks
Try the wine - they uncork the bottle and just pour it. Or any drink poured by Joanna. She fills the entire glass with rum and then puts on a mixer "splash".
Just one last thing - the 'show' at 6PM has degenerated this week from live people singing and playing (ukelele!) with three dancers, down to a couple of teens playing a taped music track, with one dancer doing some kind of hula. Between a couple of drinks at the bar and preparing for dinner, few people probably care.
I haven't seen the 6PM show at all in person (saw the hula girls from a distance out the window) but I was watching a moderately talented ukelele player at the pool grotto yesterday afternoon taking requests. I wonder why he wasn't at the show? Maybe he was there for one of the weddings?
Oh, and I found the hot tubs. I just walked right past them before without noticing them - silly me

There's a whole bunch of them.
I'm going to link this post to the Princeville and Hilton Kauai threads, since it doesn't belong specifically in either one, but might be useful to readers of both.
