I am getting married soon. We will be flying there, flying to the honeymoon - lots of different flights - and flying back home.

I always hear these stories about people who get perks if they are getting married or on a honeymoon, but how common are these things? Should we tell the check-in staff? the FAs? I feel somewhat weird doing so - and surely others would too. So, are these people who get free upgrades and bottles of wine etc. on their wedding flights just really outgoing and able to tell everyone and anyone that they are getting married? Do they specifically ask for such things?
