If there was another family member with a similar name, how carefully would the gate agent check the ID on checkin? I would think it
might be possible to have a family member use a ticket this way - but it may depend on your agent's eyesight or concentration span!

We had good AQ flights this week:
HNL-(Maui last-minute sched. change)-KOA
[actually very annoying as Mrs B urgently needed a doctor!], and
KOA-HNL-LIH
Front bulkhead seats for each flight, so these helped!
Much better than the rest of the seats, for pitch & space generally.
Next is HA inter-island...
Doing it the right way, HA, LIH-HNL... Just need to order the rentacar for HNL.
