Email Says "As a Preferred Member" But I Have No Status

US sent me an email stating that "as a Dividend Miles Preferred Member" and went on to list benefits such as no standby fee, free upgrades, etc. Only problem is that I have no status, which I confirmed after getting the email to see if they had given me status for some unknown reason. Any idea what is going on?
