I don't know exactly why, but reading this sentence just cracked me up - thanks!

By the way, I think most of us have had that happen to us on the 747. I remember one time not hearing the "Prepare for landing" announcement and sitting down on that jumpseat with an arm full of glasses at the very moment the wheels touched the ground. Everyone clapped and laughed at the split second timing of my butt hitting the seat and the wheels hitting the ground. Embarrassing.

Ah, the stories I could tell....
