There is a restaurant right there in the hotel that should suffice if you are willing to eat Applebees or the like. If you do get a 2nd wind and decide to take a cab somewhere, go ahead and bite the bullet and head into the city.
You might want to actually go inside a Panda Express before you give your opinion. At Panda Express, the customers can see many of the fresh ingredients used. Most PEs have high turnover, so agan, that means fresh ingredients. Most PEs have skinless chicken, so, neglecting sodium consumption and tendency to overeat, PE offers healthy staples including significant vegetable options. If you eat there a lot, the flavors would get tiresome.
Maybe you can suggest your favorite Chinese restaurants in Oakland Chinatown? I hope you aren't suggesting the OP cab to "The City", where bad chinese food can easily be found.
Here's a hilton specific list, looks bleak. I'd put Panda Express at the head of this list.
