I was at Zurich airport today from 1:30PM until 4:30PM.

'Finally' at 4:15PM, through loudspeakers only, waiting passengers (flights have been stopped since 12:30PM today, about another 2'500 passengers were scheduled to fly Swissair for the rest of the day) were informed that 'Due to financial reasons, Swissair is not able to maintain any flights anymore for an indefinit period.

And Swissair couldn't provide any compensations either.

Passengers were asked to please make either arrangements with other airlines themselves or to contact their travel agents.

Crossair did fly 100% of their schedule.
