Odd. I banked with HSBC for the first 6 years of my time in HK and got so unhappy about the service that I switched to StanChart! Been with them now for over 7 years, and am much happier now.

I suppose it comes down to whichever individual is looking after your accounts. The account manager I have at the Queen's Rd Central branch is an absolute joy - especially noticeable since moving to Thailand last year. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for her.
