I'm so confused...

Well not really confused, I guess torn is the word.

Currently, I'm a happy 7130 user on vzw.
What I'm lacking is Japanese e-mail readability and usability in Japan. I know that the 8830 doesn't really address this issue but it still looks really tempting.

It has a great form factor from what I can see, I like the dedicated keypad idea although this will be my first time after a 7100 and 7130.

The other thing this does is let's me take my push e-mail most everywhere with the exception of Japan where I need it most.

It will allow me to highspeed tether to my PC as well which is a solid feature even if I don't use it all that much.

I guess my only option that addresses Japan is is the 8707v which will operate on the UMTS 2100 but I get slugged back down to gprs speeds when I return stateside.

I just can't decide if it is a total waste or not.

Anyone have comments or ideas to sway me in one direction or another?
