What’s funny to me is after looking at the chart posted by CLTUSCAPTIVE you can easily see where the problem with union seniority lies: vertical payscale movement is sluggish, but horizontal occurs in big leaps. If the company and union could negotiate a payscale where the differential between A330/E190s pilots was minimal, then at least part of the rancor of blended seniority would disappear.
