AY sold last two owned MD11s. The 5 leased ones will continue flying until 2010 or so when enough A330/340 have been delivered.
What's misleading?? They were sold, that's what the title says. It's an end of an era because Finnair was the launch customer of the MD-11.
Your statement is also wrong. The MD11s are sold but are also being leased back to Finnair for a period, so the MD11 fleet is unchanged for a while.
