Great report! I wasn't aware that ANA SuperSeats (as part of an int'l itinerary) are considered First, even if you upgrade them on the spot; I'll have to give this serious consideration on my next trip to Japan. ^ I guess this is the upside that balances out not being able to fly SuperSeats on C tickets... do you have any idea what fare class the upgraded tickets are?
