Any idea why they'd pull it? Isn't the on ground time relatively significant for those 76's at CVG?
I think you may have just answered your own question. Probably a low yield route for DL and those are expensive aircraft to operate on such short halls with fuel at current levels. Were probably loosing money on those flights.
Better to leave it on the ground in CVG for 6 hours and send it back to LGW or CDG than loose money hauling passengers to ATL. I'm sure they still get decent utilization from the aircraft. Proably routes CVG-LGW/CDG then back to ATL or JFK and then back across the pond.
