It is a tough audio to listen to. I did a little digging around, apparantly the transcripts were released very soon after the crash but someone or some party sued and pushed to release the actual audio itself, resulting in years of litigation and untold how much money (although we all know canadian money isn't worth anything, just kidding).

I agree with them, if the transcripts were already released, getting the actual audio is just a morbid fascination with wanting to hear someone just before their death or wondering what thoughts were running through their mind just before death.
