I appreciate the article. I would never have discovered that paying for an additional bag just means you split your 20k allowance between two bags rather than getting an additional 20k. And I am no stranger to either Ryan Air or Easyjet.
To me, it doesn't matter that this rule is disclosed. The rule is designed to provide Easyjet with a windfall based on people who don't read the rules at all or who read the rule too quickly, which is probably most passengers.
I have a trip to Europe coming up in which I need to buy some individual segments between France, Germany and Ireland. Given the amount of money at stake here, I'll book LH (after reading the rules, of course).
