The Monday before was 2 hours delayed. Yesterday, we were pretty
much on time (landed at 1:25) but took 15-20 minutes to open the door.
And a few weeks ago, they changed equipment to a 757, only to have us
get on another 757 due to smoke alarm issues. There were many unhappy
CPs that could not be accomodated due to the 8Fs in the 757. (I was
lucky that day).

It is supposed to be the maintenance shake-down flight before they
return to TA service. One FA told me the most notorious plane is
N270(AY? not sure of the last two tail letters, but it's the only 333 with
a 270).

Have a good trip!
go ober,

I appreciate your insight and experience on this route. I often wonder about US and have experienced many times where inconsistency is often the largest error. From the articles I've been reading in the paper these past few weeks it sounds the worst is yet to come in terms of reliability. I surely hope our vacation is not impacted.

And I more importantly hope we are able to ride the 333 both on the outbound and the return, as we've booked these flights specifically for that purpose. Surely, our vacation won't be ruined if they sub in other equipment as we still get a week in SJU. But me being an airplane freak I will be disappointed. My wife on the otherhand won't be disappointed unless we have to row or swim to our vacation. As long as we get to fly something reasonably on time she is fine. Obviously we have very different perspectives on airplane travel.

If you think of any other info about these flights to share please do so.

I am curious to know what line of work you are in to be so fortunate to visit SJU weekly.

Safe travels,
James
