Any advice for a novice on Northern lights? My trip is likely August - summer, tourist season, and I hear light pretty much all the time.... Can I see 'em if I make it all the way north, or do I need to come back in winter when its darker?
The tour is expensive and full of alabamians or maybe australians

. I would highly recommend doing the polar bear swim while you are there. I would highly recommend checking the sea ice charts first to see if any polar bears will be stopping by as well.
