It's this kind of a response that makes 'security' such a joke. Stop wasting time & money enforcing ridiculous 'rules' to make the flying public feel comfortable! Instead, hire smart people, pay them a good salary and apply some sensible policies to security. A good model would be Ben Gurion Airport and El Al.

One example? Take the money they're wasting checking pilots and grannies for tabasco sauce and start scanning all the CARGO in the hold, that often gets zero checks whatsoever.
