Does one have to show Payment credit card when checking in?

Can someone please confirm to me there isn’t a problem turning up at check in for flights someone else booked for you without the CC used to pay for the flight?

I booked a flight for someone and they are freaking out that they have had a couple of emails from BA telling them not to forget to bring the CC with them, but I paid for their flights with my card, and I am not travelling with them…
Anyway I told them they have nothing to worry about and that they should ignore the emails.
Am I correct?
