At first I thought sts603 was referring to the other needs for women, but I don't think the wife has those kinda needs anymore.
I hope the OP reports this incident to AA - the co-pilot shouldn't have been a baby about the whole incident. Even if the husband had given him the finger, he could have spoken to them right away instead of crying about it in the cockpit.
After reading the story, my first thought was 'at least you did not crash'.
