I'd have to say that the odds of her getting an upgrade without using points (so an operational upgrade) would be pretty much non-existant. That said, looking ahead on the next flight I've got from BNE-SIN, it looks like they've got a 3 class plane flying as 2 class - so if you request a seat in the front section of economy for her she *might* get lucky and get a business class seat (even if it's with economy class service). It's worth checking on www.checkmytrip.com to see what the seatmap is looking like for her trip - if the front of the economy cabin is 2-3-2 seating then get on the phone to Qantas and see if you can get a seat reserved up there! If it's all 3-4-3 seating, then no such luck.
