I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm -- but why are you willing to pay 500 Euro to obtain the FT status? Unless you fly LH with massive over-baggage I can't see the justification (over-baggage is only allowed for the core LH companies plus OS/LX I guess). Lounge-access is equally limited mostly to LH-owned lounges, and seeing how little you fly paying per-use would still be cheaper (PriorityPass...)
