I would have to agree with the Pre-K Holiday Inn - Loyola comment. Stay clear. The CP, The Astor, is a very nice property as long as you can get a room facing Canal St. I have booked it several times during Mardi Gras for visting family, guess taking the trolley from the Garden District was too much for them. Not an IC property but The Monteleone is a wonderful hotel and getting an upgrade is usually as simple as asking for one. Chateau LeMoyne is a HI property and the rates have been like snatching candy from a baby. Had friends in for Jazzfest and they reserved a room for 79.00+ taxes, which I think are about 21% now but dont quote me. Very nice indeed if you can get it.
