Personally I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at work this morning and read the QF e-mail. I never entertained the thought that Jetstar would earn FF points or SCs, so the confirmation caused me no pain. Allowing QP access was very unexpected, let alone the extension to include Australian Airlines. I let out a minor "woohoo" when I read those.

The really big "woohoo" was reserved for the change that your QP guest need not be flying. In other words when my wife takes me to the airport we can both access the Club before I fly away. Much better than the current situation where we have to sit in the barren wasteland of the departure lounge.
