Huh? Hardly. If you use a Taser you're filling out mounds of use-of-force paperwork. You have to justify it, because it will come out. Same with pepper spray, but Taser's are a little higher on the ladder, justification-wise.

In other words, you can't go around using them willy-nilly, just like a baton, because there's going to be a review of why you used it. "Coercion" doesn't meet the standard and will get the officer jammed up sooner or later, probably sooner.
