OneWorld explorer tickets were able to have new OW carriers added (contrary to one report) so I doubt there will be a problem with your Global Explorer ticket. Also many of the new OW carriers have been included as eligible carriers for Global Explorer tickets for quite sometime.

Might be easier to change your ticket onto eligible carriers (i.e. RJ) rather than have a battle with QF and GF. Reports coming in seem to suggest that RJ is pretty good and if you happen to be in J it looks even better.
