Krug, you can easily get several bottles of any number of very high-quality wines, which
would quite probably yield a better dividend in terms of customer satisfaction.

A concrete example: the Taylors "St Andrews" Shiraz, about which even number_6 has had some complimentary things to say, retails for about A$50; so you can get 4 or 5 bottles for the price of a single bottle of Krug, and I certainly know which I'd rather have; and I suspect most people think along similar lines!

Certainly I wouldnt get customer satisfaction.
I would rather share a lovely bottle of Dom Perignon(no krug is not my favourite)than get plastered by sharing 4 bottles of ok red.
So maybe I am not "most people"
The original topic of this thread was that Qantas was obviously cutting back on high end booze in favour of cheaper rough reds and sparklings.
In First class when one spends $14000 or 300.000 hard earned points they expect the very best of everything whether it be Penfolds 707 or Grange or Dom perignon. Not ****ty $75 bottles of inferior french and $40 bottles of aussie red.
Whoever the somillier is at Qantas. they should get rid of them.
In my opinion even Northworst had a better wine list.
