Sinaia is on the way from Bucharest to Brasov (very close to Brasov). It does have some interesting history and is in general a very relaxing place. You can also do some hiking, and summer is a great time to be there. A couple of days there should be very nice. There are lots of trains that go between Sinaia and Brasov and it's a short ride. You could plan to stay in Sinaia and if you get bored or want to see something different you can always go and spend an afternoon in Brasov.
