As a side note....you will not get the pts for the stay since the name on the credit card must match the name of the person on the reservation. The guest will however be entitled to whatever status benefits you have attained.
Question about getting the points when the name on the credit card doesn't match the reservation:
A couple times when vacationing at SPG resorts with my wife we have put the final hotel charges on her SPG Amex. She obviously has my same last name and both of those times my points and stay credits showed up properly on my SPG account. However in this case could I possibly have been in jeopardy of points and stay credit not posting since we charged the stay to her credit card? Should I always charge everything to my credit card in the future or does this rule only apply if the name on the credit card is completely different than the name on the reservation?
