There hasn't been a non-targeted bonus promotion -- save the new destination ones, and even those are stingy lately -- in years. Long gone are the days of being able to manufacture CO miles by meerly stepping on to a plane. These days the marketing department comes up with some strange formula of people they want to target, like all NY/CT residents, even though some of them fly 100K miles/year on CO) and throw a bonus our way. Otherwise, you're basically limited to your actual miles and elite bonus.
