The 752 definitely is desirable when it provides nonstop access to a city which otherwise would be reachable only through a connection. But with respect to routes on which there are widebody alternatives on other carriers, the 752 is less desirable. For example, the late EWR-LGW and EWR-CDG flights are operated by 752's. VS, BA, and AF operate widebody, late EWR departures. As a result, I would be more inclined to take VS or AF rather than a CO 752, especially if traveling in coach (leaving aside any LGW vs. LHR preference).
