That bothers me too. I seem to recall curtain tracks on the 757's (and perhapses the 737's as well) to shade the cabin from the light of the galley. Wonder if CO ever used them -- and will they ever do so again.
Those curtains were there until the new security regulations went into effect after late 2001. I doubt those curtains will ever return unless the security regulations are changed to allow them to be put back up.
