Over the years we have carried probably
1,000 bottles of bubbly within our suitcases. Literally. Usually on very long journeys. I would
NEVER do this with red or white.
We leave home with 5 or 6 bottles each packed into bags, and drink them along the way, and this way your suitcase gets lighter along the track, so you can add souvenirs - and your bag stays the same weight!
NEVER an issue. Bubbly is pressurised of course. Remember those TV news scans of Big Shots trying to launch ships by smashing a bottle against hulls of ships? And the bottle bouncing right off? Time and time again!
Here is a photo below of

Hunki (right) marvelling at the superb quality of my suitcase contents, after 10,000 miles of travel SYD-ZRH! This was in Basel for Fastnacht this Feb and to toast
Rudi's Birthday.
The
Vegemite is eaten immediately afterwards by the spoonful to enhance the taste. As all bubbly drinkers realise. It has replaced Caviar in trendy gourmet circles. Given the price of DOM these days, I hope the Vegemite jar is
included in the sale price? I am sure that St. Gallen retail outlet includes a jar with each Dom bottle sold.
I recall reading somewhere that both Cathy and Singapore Airlines are now serving
Vegemite, generously spread on hand-made wheat crackers, along with Dom Perignon in long haul First Class/

As
Rudi says, that family wine outlet in St. Gallen has a HUGE range of top end French bubbly on sale, and St. Gallen is really a lovely town. I certainly had some French bubbles there as his guest along with several other FT'ers who were there. ^
The Medieval manuscripts on view in the Library there are mind boggling if you have a little time to spare to pop in.
Rudi might have more specific address and name details.
