Thadocta, why do you assume that they intended something other than what they published?
I would say it is intentional, because some of the fare classes excluded from points are genuine discount economy rather than consolidator or award, e.g. CX discount economy class V. It is reasonable that these should get SCs.</font>
It is easy to work out what they intended based upon their practice - you do not get SC's on flights which do not earn points. They worded it rather badly in the T&C's though.
