NW isn't going to tell a FA candidate the awful working conditions. When someone who isn't familiar with the airline industry, starting pay of $16.00 an hour sounds like fantastic money. In reality one can easily cut that wage in half. One isn't getting paid for 160 hours of fulltime work. One is only getting paid for actual time in the air. They also don't understand that as new hires, they can expect to be gone from home for 400 hours a month and only get paid a quarter of that time.
I'm just sticking around to be a thorn in NW side. I never used to feel that way and dispised people who thought that way. Now I'm in that position and can understand the bitterness.
There are lot of people who are gone from home 4 weeks a month and don;t get paid for all the hours they are away from home. Faster means of transport and modern technology allows us to do that and still keep in touch with our family.
Every employer tells their prospective employees the good things. Why should NW be any different.

I see so much bitterness in you. You are having a hard time accepting economic changes going on in the industry and the world. I hope you can find a better way to deal with your hurt than
being a thorn or trying to
screw the company.
