Thanks to
BAPremier for setting me thinking. As someone who lives in the sticks and so doesn't start my journeys from LHR & LGW, I have seen a degradation in BA's service over the last few years. I've decided to add these things up and start a list of what I don't get that these fancy dan London based people do get.
- Dedicated FIRST / Club Check In
- Dedicated Silver / Gold Check In
- Fast Track Security
- Ability to use real person for check in when traveling long haul
- Seat choice for non-elites on domestic legs when connecting onto FIRST flight
- No ice for my G&T on selected flights
- Routings to Europe avoiding LHR / LGW
- Priority baggage delivery (Yes I know, but at least there is a theoretical possibility of it working in LHR / LGW)
I have yet to see what WW will do to our lounges post the FlyBE sell off, but I guess that won't be good either.
It does make you feel like a second class citizen. Even bmi still has a priority check in line and their baggage handlers do manage priority delivery occasionally.
