Well, we could have a couple of stickies clearly labeled "What to do on a layover at Narita" and "Should I buy a Japan Rail pass, and what does it include? Subtopic: Can I use it on the Tokyo subway?" But I agree that a certain number of posters will ignore the stickies and ask the question anyway.

I would also love to put up a sticky answering the question, "What should I see in Japan/Tokyo/Kyoto?" with "Read a guidebook and make up your own mind. We'll help you with the details." But that would be snide.
