I actually wrote the above just after I read a post from some whinger on another board about how hard it was to get reward seats - might have to find those posts on AFF claiming the same thing.

btw, I was told by QF res staff that, with the introduction of WT+ awards from 1/1, that SG, WP and CL members will not longer get the free bump-up like we do now. It will cost the additional 25% to get into P class.
