I think it is likely that you wont see porn* in the early peak period from these "marginal" centres (don't mean to be rude here with people that live in these places) perhaps 1 or 2 QF flights early am and again in the evening pm peak period then in between times the hybrid.</font>
And based on this, Terry McCrann made avery good point the other day - what does JetStar do with all of its leisure configured aircraft at 0600, and what does Qantas do with all of its business configured aircraft at 1200?
My thoughts are that JetStar will *eventually* take over all of the QF DOM runs. They can't do it immediately, due to Industrial Relations concers. Rather, I think they will move in and QF will eventually move out.
Now with QF moving *out* of domestic ops and JetStar moving in, I think we will see a retention of QF FF benefits, such as points accrual, SC earnings and lounge access.
They need to maintain these anyway because of their
oneworld relationship, so why abolish them?
So my gut feeling is that we will - in the end - see QF operating long-haul INT only. Jetstar will operate DOM sectors, with QFLink operating regional sectors.
