I don't consider SYD-CNS or SYD-ASP as short-haul and certainly wouldn't want to be squeezed in a crappy seat without any food for the three hour flight.

I wonder what they do with people who have already booked fligths to those destinations on QF for next year. If Jet* operates those flights there will be no free catering on board. That's going to be a mess for sure...apart from not earning FF points and status of course.
