As promised to everyone here is an update on my originally described situation.
I have had several discussions with ANZ this week at various levels. Let me say they are very quick to try and help and hand out good will points - exactly as others have described in this forum.

I feel I need to be a little careful of what I say as they possibly lurk here. I get my disputed points more than compensated and so will anyone else that rings them with any claim, not that the claim alone was my real issue. My issue was the misleading and deceitful advertising of the true cut off date of the old and new scheme and their inability to write a program to cope with it in their monthly statements.

They are trying to put a certain spin on the changes but they realise it is a lame effort.
They actualy told me that $1500 spend per month was a very high limit. Perhaps if you lived in Tibet this would be true! But in this country I could rack up $1500 a month just paying utilities like Electricity, Gas, Water, Council rates, phones before even spending a cent on food!
But of course we know it is a high rate - that's why they so readily increase your credit limit to $10,000 per month without question. Give me a break ANZ you really have stuffed yourselves on this blunder.

As I think I have said before I had no problem with their changes to stop people rorting the points, but they slashed it back to a joke level and now they are paying the price and hurting. Why on earth would they be advertising as heavily as they currently are to try and gain new customers if the old ones weren't leaving in droves.

And in doing this who are they going to attract? No one! Exactly so it is a further waste of their money and resources and a further indication that they have no idea of what they are doing. I'm glad I'm not a share holder because I would be ashamed of their efforts.

I'll go on record and make a prediction about their ANZ FF Visa scheme: Sometime in the next 6 months they will review their 1500 point limit per month rule. I don't know what they will increase it to but they will have to do something. Either that or they will close it completely, such is the current downturn they are experiencing.
