What reward are you trying to redeem for? How many miles do you have right now in CO?
Thanks, that's great info I didn't know about. I have 105K continental miles, I need 150K for two first-class ticket to Hawaii (for a gift for a relative). I have plenty of starwood points to do the 40K starwood = 50K continental conversion, but of course I didn't realize they discountinued that (or rather, altered the redemption ratio)! I guess I should read flyertalk more. Anyway, that sounds like an option. Looks like I don't get the 5K bonus going to Amtrak, but that's livable given I'm in a bind.

Thanks!

Looking at the webflyer link, it seems United/Northwest to continental isn't really doable. I could do AA->CO, but that involves a loss of 50% of the miles.
