That would be nice... but, no. "All" you'd get for crediting >38k miles to your account would be double destination miles for any status miles you credit over 55k... So in your example of 78k, you'd get those miles, plus an extra 23k on top. You might be better crediting the remainder to your Miles and More account and trying to get/maintain FTL there.
