On a short list for best expensive restaurant in London, one would have to include Petrus at The Berkeley. I had lunch there last year. Absolutely splendid meal. Much easier to get reservations there than at Gordon Ramsay on the Royal Hospital Road. In the past year, Petrus has been upgraded to 2 Michelin Stars. At lunch one can order from the 30 pound or 60 pound menu. For dinner 60 pounds per person plus drinks for the set menu. Tasting menu is 80 pounds. Does not include discretionary service charge of 12.5%. On the whole, wine prices do tend to be more expensive at Petrus than at Gordon Ramsay on the Royal Hospital Road.
