This is a great idea and maybe us flyertalkers should dedicate a month or something where we take a stranger under wing and show them the delights of the QP. Collectively we (most) must have so many passes that are never going to be used.

I did something similar last year going to the US, the plane was delayed so instead of going through the security I decided to head back to the lounge. A woman next to me was stressing out as she had tight connections in LAX to get to her eventual destination to pick up her kid to bring back to AUS. I invited her up where she made herself right at home, called her husband in Bowral and explained the drama then settled in for a few drinks. Never saw her again nor did we exchange names but I reakon she will remember the kindness.
